Our Roots
In 1968, two farming brothers, Harold and Erwin Keddy, identified a need to help fruit and vegetable growers of the Annapolis Valley bring their harvest to market. H&E Keddy Brothers Ltd. was formed and gave farm markets, retail stores and restaurants the means to quickly and easily supply Nova Scotians with food grown close to home.

Today Over the past forty years, H&E Keddy Brothers Ltd. has passed through two generations and has evolved into a wholesale full-line produce business that serves the entire mainland of Nova Scotia year-round. Outside of local growing seasons, the majority of purchasing happens through the competitive Montreal market. But, Keddy Bros is proud to sell local product whenever possible. In fact, we chat with local growers on a regular basis and have been a successful partner in helping to meet customer demand in the current “buy local” movement. |
